About Us
Sometimes the strongest partnerships begin by chance. Rogue Pickleball was born from an idea: two entrepreneurs were building separate lives shaped by business and service. Neither knew their paths were about to cross on a pickleball court. That moment came unexpectedly at the State Senior Games in North Carolina, when both suddenly found themselves without partners and were paired together at the last minute. They played well together after only meeting for the first time that day and decided to continue playing together in the future.

Later on, after the competition ended, they got to know each other better. Gary shared his extensive business background in sales and distribution, having set up and managed operations on the national level. Al talked about his educational background and experience of starting Feed First USA in Arkansas that provided meals and educational support programs for children and youth. The organization prepared over three million meals and won several service awards.
That day, Al wore a Rogue Pickleball T-shirt and spoke about a new venture he had just started to support organizations that worked with children. Gary shared several ideas on how to make that happen, especially since his family was involved in nonprofit work with children. A trust formed quickly between the two men. In that moment, they decided to build something together as equal partners. Each brought experience and different strengths: vision and creativity on one side, operational and business management on the other. Both were anchored by purpose, and from the start, they agreed that Rogue Pickleball would be about more than profit. It was a commitment that a portion of every sale would flow back to grassroots organizations that served children.
Today, Rogue Pickleball stands as an extension of that shared vision, playing with purpose and combining a passion for pickleball with compassion for children. It became clear that this wasn't just a business idea; it was a shared mission. Inspired by their shared partnership, they set out to build a company offering high-quality, affordable pickleball apparel and gear while creating a sustainable way to support nonprofits serving children. That commitment lives in every product and every purchase. Each customer who makes a purchase and wears the Rogue brand becomes a member of the Rogue Pickleball community.
Rogue symbolizes independent thinking, creative courage, and a willingness to challenge norms. It's about having the courage to build something different, choosing a path where pickleball becomes a vehicle for impacting lives, not just selling a product.
The Rogue story is a testament to how a chance meeting and love of a sport can become a powerful force for good, creating lasting change in the lives of children.
